oh my, it's been so long.

well, in all good news, the crucible has been going on lately, which could be a contribution to my lack of deviant activity. we have one more show, then we have completed our twelve-show run. we will be doing godspell as our musical, and i'm seriously wanting john the baptist/judas iscariot (well, actually i want jesus, but i don't want to get my hopes too high, aye? i'm only a sophomore, and i'm not that benevolent of a singer quite yet.)

anyways, i have been planning to write a story lately, as usual, and i keep procrastinating, as usual. once i get started, though, it will flow on and on until i feel the need to stop. hell, i'm still wanting to write a novel, but you see how long it gets me to write a damn story (or even a poem) these days? oh well, at least i'm trying to try (to try).

life has been going pretty swell. i have surely decided i will be in fact all a writer-actor-musician-photographer-sidewalk painter-english professor type-person, if you can catch my drift (well of course you can, you're coming with me in my van/car/broken-down chevrolet to chicago where i will begin to pursue whatever the hell first pours from my lips. and, self-evidently, i will open up a book-store/coffee-shop in which you can roam around and take notes in whatever books you wish whilst spilling coffee all over the brand-new crimson carpet.)

ahhh, i love parentheses, don't you?

woah, i began to write a story the other day and i read over what i wrote, and-uhm, it was shocking. the kind of "shocking" that drops down in your stomach and slams your body backwards and makes you finally realize something great. i don't know, i'm just moderately happy about how i form things nowadays, with all it's grotesque, leathery ways.

news-oh-news. i got a lead role in the crucible, reverend hale. so, you should put on your disco shoes and get to runnin', because i expect to see your concerned faces laughing at me in my obscene puritan outfit, that i will surely "rock the house" with. also, i believe that my computer is fixed and the sorts, so i can finally get on deviantart again.

Auditions for The Crucible are over, and I'm hoping that I get Reverend Parris, the second-most important male character in the story. The other people said I did really good, but I'm still pretty nervous about it. Getting such a big role as a Sophomore would be awesome.

So, this is more-so for my long-time deviant friends. If you remember my older journal, Time With Roy, it is about an older man who was an inspiration to me. This joyful, eccentric man died last month on August 8th. He will definitely be missed, and may the joy of the world reside deep down inside of him. My grandmother, his final care-taker, posted a journal entry about Roy if you would like to read it, [link]

You may have noticed my absence from deviantART, and I'll give you the reason. My mother and step-father have added the McAfee virus-protection software on my computer, and on this program it has a parental controls block. They made it to where if it has one "fowl" word at all, or if it maybe has too much blue on the page, I am blocked from the site. I cannot update journals, read my messages, or post comments. The only thing I can do is post stories. So I want to apologize for not being able to respond to you guys. I will get to you whenever I am at another person's house with a computer, like I am now.

Have a good week, wizard kids.

Dappled Cities Fly

It has been a while, partly because 1) I was blocked by Parental Controls from deviantART for a while (don't ask, I don't know either) and 2) I haven't been able to write anything decent lately. I keep feeling the urge to write a novel, but once I start to actually plot it out, something comes up and gets in the way. So, I've decided that I'm just going to write, no plotting or idea mapping.

I haven't been feeling well lately, like there is some type of emptiness that I can't discover. It honestly feels like I'm wasting plenty of my time in school. I don't want to be a mathematician, nor do I strive to be a scientist. I'm tired of the gangster P.E. I was placed in, and I'm sick of re-learning what adjectives are every single year.

I appreciate the education system, but I wish it was different. I wish I could choose my eight classes:

English, World History, French, Psychology,
Theatre Arts, Choir, Creative Writing, and Music Theory.

Anyways, I've been mashing up some poetry lately, so you get to see some of that hidden in my scraps. I might be writing another short story as well, but that depends on if I can finally get some free time.

i miss you guys.
i need to read some literature,
send me some suggestions.

Okay, so for you deviants who haven't jumped onto the anti-Facebook bandwagon, you should friend request me. And to remind you guys if possibly you didn't get to read some of my past journal entries, my real name is Austin, but no need to refer to me by that.
Oh, and remember to tell me who you are!

First of all, I'm pretty excited because I've been featured on *DailyDeviants, and if you want to check out the feature, click here.
Second off, I found a pretty nifty online editing software called Pixlr for you guys who might not have photoshop, paint pro, et cetera.
You can check that out here. And if it ends up to be terrible, please do tell me, I haven't had much time to actually tool around with it.

School is starting soon, and for our first play in theatre, we are doing The Crucible. If you know anything about it or have read it, please do tell me about it. I bought the script/play-book the other day, and try-outs are later this week. I need all the help I can get.
